Jake finally shakes his Nicolas Cage habit and, inspired by last week's episode, decides to turn his attention to Clint Eastwood from his recent work like Gran Torino to his classic Westerns like High Plains Drifter to...Every Which Way But Loose? Sam and Chris compare their recent outings to the movie theater, Chris having seen the latest Kevin Hart flick The Wedding Ringer while Sam, continuing his Academy Award checklist, watches The Theory of Everything. The gang discusses Funko's amazingly popular line of Pop! Figures and reveal what pop culture icons they'd love to see immortalized by the company. Oh, and Sam shares a bit of fan fiction he had wrote. Crackerjack stuff, gang.

Geek Out Commentary: Flash Gordon

Flash!! Aaaaaaaah! Savior of the Universe! Kickass Queen soundtrack aside (And it does kick so much ass), this film is a cult favorite of both Chris and Jake with the former making it his choice as a brief respite between major film franchises comes to a close. See the film that inspired several recurring jokes in the Seth MacFarlane movie Ted! See [then-]future James Bond Timothy Dalton go all Rambo on the forces of Ming the Merciless! Witness what will be the closest we'll probably get to seeing a live action Hawkman on the big screen! This film is chock full of geeky goodness!

Geek Out Commentary: Detroit Rock City

The Geek Out gang continues to detox from franchises with Jake picking a personal favorite of his, the often overlooked teen comedy Detroit Rock City. As a huge Kiss fan, this film struck a strong chord (Get it? Get it? Sheesh, fine, enough with the puns) with Jake and he's been eager to share this one with you guys. Enjoy!

The Geek Out gang is back for 2015 and share how they each respectively rung in the New Year. Sam discusses his latest basement adventures and talks about the last Hobbit film leading to the gang recollecting their memories of all of Peter Jackson's adaptations of Tolkien's masterworks. The trio also share some of their favorite classic rock albums (No Kiss this time, interestingly enough) and their thoughts on the Star Wars prequel trilogy and Special Edition original trilogy. Lot of great geeky material here, folks.

Geek Out Commentary: Iron Monkey

After spending so much time doing commentaries for Batman and various horror movies, the Geek Out gang has decided to change up things a bit and each select a one-off film that they enjoy to cleanse their cinematic palate so to speak (But don't worry, we have some major franchises to provide commentaries for as the year continues!). This week is Sam's pick and he picks one of his favorite martial arts films of all time, Iron Monkey! Sit back as Sam introduces the gang to the movie and the wider genre of martial arts films in general.
