Friday the 13th: The Game is a semi-open world, third-person, survival horror game set in the fictional camp of Crystal Lake in the Friday the 13th franchise. The time period in which the game is set is the mid-1980s in order to better capture the feel of the original films.

The game is an asymmetrical multiplayer video game, with up to eight people able to play in one game. One player controls Jason Voorhees, while the remaining players control camp counselors at Crystal Lake. A player may also control Tommy Jarvis, who becomes playable when certain conditions are met. According to gameplay demos, Jason has heightened hearing and vision, with him being able to teleport anywhere the player wants. The objective of the counselors is to escape from the camp or survive until time runs out on the session, while Jason's objective is to kill all the remaining players. Jason may also be defeated with an "‘epic’ win condition" that requires teamwork, and is difficult to perform.

Jim Zub comes back on the show along with artist Djibril Morissette-Phan to talk about their new book Glitterbomb! A horror comic and biting commentary on the youth-obsessed culture of Hollywood, Glitterbomb stands among the darkest work that the creative team has done and they sit down with the boys to over it. Jim also talks his other Image Comics series, Wayward, and reflects on Samurai Jack ahead of the upcoming revival series! Finally, the gang attempts to determine what the most American movie of all time is in the wake of Presidents Day.

A tale set on an Earth where the sun's rays immediately burn any organics to death while a serial killer runs loose in the a subterranean New York City, Zack had previously come on the show to discuss the debut issue ahead its launch this past summer. This is a bookend of sorts as the gang had previously reviewed the debut issue of Eclipse back when the series was just a miniseries! Now a full-fledged ongoing, Sam and Jake revisit the series and its story of a serial killer in a world where the sun kills all it shines a light on as it's collected in its first volume and talk about the book from its infamous sun-kills to the bonus content within!

Two months after the events of the massacre at Camp Crystal Lake, a mysterious figure has tracked down lone survivor Alice, and brutally kills her in her own home. Fast forward another five years, Paul Holt is starting up a summer camp counselor training center at a campground near Camp Crystal Lake. Acknowledging the camp next door, he scares the counselors around the campfire with stories about Pamela and Jason Voorhees. The same mysterious figure who killed Alice then starts tearing thru the counselors in training. Is it possible that Jason did actually survive drowning in the lake and is now taking out camp counselors because he sees them as the reason that his mother’s dead?

In the year 1957, a young boy attending summer camp at Camp Crystal Lake drowns in the lake while the counselors who were meant to be watching him were preoccupied having sex. The following year, those same counselors were mysteriously murdered during a similar session of promiscuity. The camp then remains closed for 21 years until new owner Steve Christy (son of the original owners) decides it’s time to reopen the camp, ignoring the several failed attempts by his parents. During the first few days of the summer when the newly hired counselors arrive to help clean up and repair the camp, they are dispatched one by one by an unseen killer. Everything seems to be tied back to the unfortunate death of that young boy but why?
