This week, Sam and Jake talk about the first volume of Blue Monday by Chynna Clugston Flores which gets a remastered release via Image Comics and new colors by superstar colorist Jordie Bellaire! A semi-autobiographical love letter to high school in the early 1990s, Blue Monday focuses on Bleu Finnegan, a teenager with a deep affinity for mod culture, Buster Keaton, and Pepsi. With a pronounced manga influence and predating the similarly themed Scott Pilgrim and Octopus Pie, Blue Monday is easily a favorite of Sam's. Hear what the boys thought of the book overall!

A revisionist take on classic superhero teams and a bit of a mystery, Black Hammer focuses on a prematurely retired superteam living together in a small town. Listen what the boys think of the book, how they think Ormston and Lemire mesh well as collaborators, and how the book hits a lot of classic Lemire tropes!
