The boys are back with their first interview of 2016! Brian Wood is a very prolific writer that has written X-Men, Star Wars, and Conan the Barbarian, but his creator-owned books like DMZ, Northlanders, and The Massive stand among some of the best comic books of all time. He's here to promote his latest comic series, Starve, and the boys talk to him in depth but the story set in a dystopian future where a cooking competition show is king as the world falls apart around it. The trio also talk to Brian about his experiences writing Conan, designing the iconic video game covers for GTA III and GTA: Vice City, and what he thinks of the new Star Wars!

Geek Out Commentary: Pulp Fiction

The month long commentary celebration of Quentin Tarantino's career to coincide with the release of The Hateful Eight continues with Sam's personal favorite Tarantino film. Look, if we're going to do a career retrospective for Quentin Tarantino, it stands to reason that the iconic Pulp Fiction is going to be included somewhere in there. Tarantino returned after his debut not with a sophomore slump but rather a surge and came in with a fury that nobody expected and took the world by storm! Even over 20 years later, Pulp Fiction still resonates in American pop culture (And many a dorm room poster). Listen as the gang revisits this instant classic!

Sam and Jake are back to discuss The Fab Four's third studio album, a tie-in to their film debut, and their first studio album with entirely original material. Sam regards A Hard Day's Night as his personal favorite Beatles' album for the dichotomy of poppy love songs on the first side and the darker, moodier songs on the second. Jake lists the landmark album as possibly Lennon's most dominant and strongest with the acerbic rhythm guitarist taking up the lion's share of the songwriting duties. Listen as the duo jump into one of the greatest albums in Beatles' history, A Hard Day's Night!

Often lost in the shuffle of the series, how do the Geek Out duo feel about the first Lethal Weapon film without any direct input from series creator Shane Black? Jake and Sam are fresh off a viewing and are ready to unload on the most commercially successful of the quintessential buddy cop franchise.

Geek Out Commentary: Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace

You thought we were just straight up ditching this one, didn't you? Try as we might to deny it, The Phantom Menace was a theatrically released Star Wars flick (And the only one to get a wide release in 3D!) so, for completion's sake, we did a commentary for it. But is it as terrible as the gang remembers it? Yes, yes it is. Watch and listen along as the boys suffer through what is hopefully the worst live action Star Wars film to grace the silver screen.
