The Japanese market LOVED Laserdiscs, they stayed alive for about a year longer than here in the states, and one of the main things printed on Japanese Laserdiscs? Anime! And luckily our resident weeaboo, Ken, has plenty of them to talk about. Notably, Chris only has one movie but it's a damn good one!

Geek Out Commentary: Superman IV - The Quest for Peace

Chris and Sam often regard Superman IV as better than Superman III but that doesn't mean Christopher Reeve's swan song to the franchise that made him a star is a good movie by any means. Despite its moralistic message and attempt to reduce the campy elements of the series that had overtaken it in Superman III, Superman IV is simply a film that ran out of money in mid-production leaving us with, well, this. Watch along and listen as we revisit Christopher Reeve's final turn as the Man of Steel.

Listen as Sam and Jake go track-by-track to reveal some of their favorites along with trivia and backstory behind some of The Beatles' most iconic songs!

Geek Out Commentary: Superman III

After last week's birthday interlude, we're back to our countdown to Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice by continuing our commentary series of Superman films. This time around we have Superman III, the first Christopher Reeve Superman flick without any direct influence from original series director Richard Donner. Superman III is often regarded as a misguided film at best with director Richard Lester getting full creative license to employ the campy elements he always wanted to add to the series while casting Superman fan, Richard Pryor in a bigger role than Clark Kent! If you haven't watched this movie in awhile, watch along and listen as we revisit Superman III.
